What languages do you work with?
Our primary specialization is Portuguese (Brazilian) ↔ English, with a network covering 40+ languages for both translation and interpretation.
Where is STIB located?
We have offices in São Paulo (Av. Brigadeiro Faria Lima, 1572, Sala 1022) and Brasília (SRTVS 701, Bloco O, Sala 521), and support remote projects worldwide.
Document Translation
Are your translations certified?
STIB provides certified and professional translation. We do not currently offer legally sworn translation (Tradução Juramentada) — if your document requires that specific legal certification, let us know and we can advise on next steps.
What types of documents do you translate?
Legal contracts, financial statements, technical manuals, academic materials, and general business documentation — including materials prepared for submission to regulatory bodies such as ANVISA, CVM, and MAPA.
What file formats do you accept?
PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, and other common business document formats. Scanned documents may require OCR processing first.
What's your quality process?
Each document is assigned to a translator with relevant subject-matter background, translated with consistent terminology, then independently reviewed by a second linguist before delivery.
Interpretation
What's the difference between simultaneous and consecutive interpretation?
Simultaneous interpretation happens in real time while the speaker talks, typically used for conferences. Consecutive interpretation has the interpreter speak after each pause — used for meetings and negotiations.
Do you provide interpretation for remote meetings?
Yes. We offer remote simultaneous interpretation (RSI) via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex, and other video platforms.
Do you provide interpretation in Brasília?
Yes — in addition to our São Paulo headquarters, we have an office in Brasília.
Can you help arrange equipment for on-site interpretation?
Yes — let us know your venue and setup, and we'll help coordinate the equipment needed for your session.
Localization
What's the difference between translation and localization?
Translation converts text from one language to another. Localization adapts the broader product experience — text, cultural references, date and currency formats, and tone — so it feels native to the target market.
Do you localize for the Brazilian Portuguese market?
Yes — Brazilian Portuguese (pt-BR) localization is one of our core specializations, alongside English (US) localization for Brazilian companies expanding abroad.
Brazil Market
Do you support international companies entering Brazil?
Yes — interpretation and certified translation for meetings, contracts, and regulatory documentation as you establish or grow your presence in Brazil.
Do you support Brazilian companies expanding abroad?
Yes — translation and localization of business materials, websites, and apps for English-speaking and international markets.
What industries do you work with?
We support Pharmaceutical, Financial, Agribusiness, Mining, Legal, and Tech sectors — see our
industries overview for more detail.
Pricing & Process
How much does translation or interpretation cost?
Pricing depends on document type, volume, language pair, and turnaround time. Onsite simultaneous interpretation starts at USD 600 for a six-hour (half-day) session, and certified document translation starts at USD 0.10 per word. Market entry localization and video dubbing/subtitling are scoped per project. See our
pricing page or contact us for a tailored quote.
